Our 3rd eye!

Hi all! Just a quick note; yes-we got hammered straight on by cyclone Yasi. John and I are ok-the house suffered minimal damage. We will be weeks and weeks without power. I drove up to Innisfail just to do a quick check of things online and get some supplies. This makes the 3rd severe cyclone for me and John-big yuck.

Chances are we will move down to the new property by the end of the month-the buyers of this place up here are happy to take over the ins claim-so we can all just move on.

Probably won't be online again for a few weeks-hopefully it will be in our new home. At least we are lucky enough to have a new home to go to; really feel for those who have to rebuild from the bottom up. Very sad.

Might be off line for a few days....

We've got a doozy of a cyclone headed this way expected to make landfall about 2 hours north of here-it's huge so it will impact for hundreds of miles around; possibly even as far south as Mackay which is about 6 hours south of us.
Thoughts are going out to all those in Cairns and all surrounding areas...who knows maybe Cyclone Yasi will fizzle....we can always hope, right?!
