GOOD MORNING PEEPS!

How are you today? I have been a busy bee getting ready for my trip to the states next week. Organising clients, the garden, the house... Also been doing some therapy on the hip and hammy-darn it!

Went to a sports masseuse last week...going again today; been icing it all daily now. I know the hammy will heal-these things just take longer than I was hoping-but as many of you know, the hammy is notorious for taking ages to heal; I think I actually got a bit of a tear there. But just got to keep up the therapy for now. As far as the hip...that I just have to keep manageable-so I won't run again until I have some proper running shoes. I'm pretty sure running on this uneven country road with improper shoes is what aggravated it.

So, having said all that...am I still working out? Heck yeah! You know me better than that! I'm just not doing legs...have had some fantastic upper body workouts. Just because a person has an injury in one part of the body does not mean to sit around and eat bon bons all day and neglect the rest of the body. My nutrition has tightened up a bit too since I'm not getting any of the running or HIIT stuff in.

So, there ya go! How are you doing? Have you let something get in the way of your fitness and health? Hope not!

Oh, I won't be doing Tasty Tuesday recipes until I get back from the states. Just not making anything particularly new or interesting right now.

Cheers all!

Hey Raechelle

Not long now until you go. Good to hear you're training hard, even with your injuries. Sounds like you're in good spirits though, as injuries can have an adverse affect on your mental state I find.

Hope all goes well with the healing of your hammies and hips. When my hammies are extremely tight, it's usually lower back related. As far as hips...well that's just ongoing, and like you, running is just not good for it. All we can do is persevere and get stronger hey? But like you say, it shouldn't stop you from doing 'something'. There's always alternatives.

Anyway...hope you have a fab time in the states. No doubt we'll get updates via facebook???

Yes-got to perservere! Hammy is a bit of a tear actually from the last comp...did the splits to hard too fast something...I felt it instantly!
Hip is part sacro illiac related...and very scoliosis related...one side way overcompensating for the other...at least the hammy and hip problem is on the same side...lol!
Yep-FB updates for sure!
