Finding Focus After Forty is all about health and working out. Whether it's fitness, food, alcohol addiction, gardening, figure competition-I talk about all of it. Sharing what I learn and learning from you!
Thanks for vlogging about such an important issue Raechelle. Being a first timer I am so interested in the WHOLE process, and after the comp is part of the whole process. Being with JD, I assume he will help and guide me with my after comp planning. But I agree, that all competitors need to work out the after as well as the before.
Do you have any ideas for those out there, who don't have a coach, for after comp?
that is soo true.. i completely understand what you mean. and i hadn't really accepted what i have been doing to myself since decebmer start. and this video was soo true. i am overweight and outta routine now. so i have to get back to the plan.. thanks for reminding.. :)
My husband and I are American-Australians and have lived in Aus for 14 years. We are both certified Personal Trainers and have enjoyed working out for a combined 50 years. I am also a figure competitor (coming out of retirement!) and have overcome an alcohol addiction. With this blog I not only share my interest in health & fitness but share my story on how I continue to over-power my alcohol addiction in the hopes of helping others who may suffer from addiction.
Still continuing the journey of being as healthy as I can be and hopefully helping a few others be their healthiest too!

I agree totally Raechelle. Post-comp preparation is equally as important as pre-comp preparation. You have to find the balance.
It comes down to "if you fail to plan then you plan to fail".
