Did you enjoy the festivities? I did! We had a lovely afternoon lunch with some friends. John ate so much that he was literally stuffed! We both shared some desserts...and neither of us ate dinner when we got home. I was pleasantly full...ended up having a bit of yogurt with jam and protein crunch before bed.
The best part for me was the confidence I felt in not drinking or even wanting to drink. I felt super outgoing and not consumed by thoughts of drinking. In the past I would have been anxious to get home to drink...since I wouldn't have wanted people to know how much I was actually drinking. But yesterday-I saw people drinking and couldn't care less. It really has been a case of simply turning off that desire. I know you all are tired of hearing about it by now...but I just can't put into words the empowerment I feel.
OK-enough of that! So, now that you have eaten to your heart's content...what are you going to do? No reason to wait until January 1! Get out there and get active! Take the kids to the beach and actually get out and have a swim with them. Go for a brisk walk around the neighborhood and say hi to the neighbors! Go for a bike ride, work in the garden-or if you're in the states...shovel snow...hehehe. (sorry!) Whatever you do, there is no reason to wait-put some music on and dance in the living room...Get active! You'll feel better for it...trust me!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Merry Christmas Rae Rae. Love you, so proud of you and you KNOW I'm already started on my Sexy Biotch workouts for 2010!! WOOT!!
XOXO
NEVER tire of hearing about your success with the alcohol addiction, Raechelle, so you keep on sharing, Hon!
Glad you enjoyed your Christmas day! I had a glass of chardy to be sociable, and it gave me the biggest headache I've had in ages...definitely a lesson learnt there :(
Off to the gym with hubby in a little while...I'm right with you - why wait for a "magic" date?
xoxoxo
Sounds like you had a fantastic Christmas Day Raechelle, and its so exciting that you are feeling so empowered and not drinking! I remember when I quit cigarettes, the first time I went out and knew I wasn't going to smoke - it IS empowering being around people who still have the habit, and NOT feel like it (and no doubt much more so in your case)
Hilary xx

I ready everyone's blogs in my google reader and today decided to click on your most recent post and view it in a separate window and low and behold you'd changed it. You'd also mentioned it in your blog so that was what prompted me. I notice all kinds of stuff. LOL!! ;o) xxx
I don't think anyone should ever get tired of hearing another's compassion about making good choices and feeling good/proud of themselves for it! It is POSITIVE energy girl!
Here is to a GREAT 2010 with NEW Goals, NEW outlooks, NEW ideas, NEW and Improved YOU and ME and EVERYONE!
