Things I look forward to after the comp.....

Well, it's only a matter of a few weeks now and it will be comp day-wow!
When I decided to do this comp-I simply wanted to put myself to the challenge-and learn a bit more about how my body reacts to a different food and exercise regimen. I knew that the diet would be the hardest part for me-and it has been. I've learned that I am a total grazer-therefore, under normal circumstances, I am never hungry. I am hungry right now -LOL!

I feel that I have learned quite a bit about my body-and other people's bodies too. And in less than 4 weeks-the challenge will be accomplished and I can say I saw it through to the end. And as an added bonus I've met some really neat people too! Like my wonderful trainer DI who has put together a really good program that I feel is working for me. Though I haven't been the best and most perfect client (hello peanut butter, and bread!!!) she has been very diligent and creative with my food to keep me satisfied. Not to mention a really good workout regimen that has helped shape those areas that were previously not so shapely!

As I said in an earlier post, I can't complain about any aspect of the comp prep-I am the one who chose to do it. However...there are plenty of things I look forward to once the comp is done!
In no particular order.....

-pasta
-cheese
-wine
-not counting calories
-working out simply because I like to
-bread
-home made pizza, spaghetti, enchiladas
-dark chocolate-though I never ate this before, I've read so much about how healthy it is since starting this comp prep-I want to eat a bit every now and again
-sailing-without the worry of what food to pack and/or missing a training day
-heaps of new recipes that I've encountered since starting the comp prep that I am just jumping to try
-did I mention wine-LOL!

Now don't get me wrong-any food in the aboveall list will be consumed healthily and with balance-as before the comp prep. That's all I really want-to be healthy and balanced-and that is what I look forward to!

hope everyone is having a great weekend!
